Events: Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500
Venue: Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, Texas)
Date/Broadcast: Sunday, October 25 at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN
Corey LaJoie, driver of the No. 32 Ford Mustang for Go Fas Racing, arrives at Texas Motor Speedway for Sunday's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500 laser-focused on replicating the strong performance he had at the Fort Worth track in July.
After starting 36th, LaJoie was able to steer his Roush Yates-powered Ford to a 16th-place finish in the 500-mile event. It was his sixth - and still the most recent - top-20 of the season.
As LaJoie heads to No Limits, Texas, the familiar colors of Schlüter-Systems, a world leader in the development of innovative installation systems for ceramic and natural stone tile, will be on board the GFR Ford. It will be the fifth and final time this year that the organization, which has more than 900 employees across the globe, will appear on LaJoie's race car as a primary sponsor.
The flaming orange and gray scheme appeared at the second race of the season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the first race of the doubleheader at Michigan International Speedway, the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway and most recently at the second Talladega Superspeedway race.
LaJoie has six NASCAR Cup Series starts and two NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at the 1.5-mile Texas track. Heading into the weekend, the 28-year-old driver sits 30th in the standings.
The penultimate race of the Round of 8 of the playoffs will get underway on Sunday, October 25, at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
LaJoie on the upcoming race:
"We're really getting into the final stretch of the season here and Texas will be our last 1.5 mile racetrack of the season. We've had a good amount of speed and have been earning good results at these types of tracks for the most part this year and we definitely want to keep that going with the Schluter Systems Ford this weekend. This is one of the biggest weekends for Schluter as they have a massive distribution center just minutes from the racetrack. We'll keep after it and do our best to bring home a great finish to continue ending 2020 on a good note!"

Looking back on the Hollywood Casino 400:
Corey LaJoie and the No. 32 Plan B Sales Foundation team started 29th in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway after the lineup was set based on NASCAR's formula. On lap 14, LaJoie relayed to his crew that the Plan B Sales machine was "tight early to center" and "builds loose off," just prior to receiving an air-pressure adjustment, in addition to four tires and fuel under the lap-25 competition caution from the 31st position. In the remainder of stage one, LaJoie fell a lap down, but fortunately was scored in the free-pass position at the conclusion of stage one.
Happy with the balance, the 28-year-old fired off for the onset of stage two. One hundred laps into the 267-lap race, LaJoie continued to race in the 30th position. LaJoie climbed the leaderboard as green-flag stops ensued, reaching third as a caution slowed the field. He restarted in 13th for an 11-lap sprint to the green-and-white checkered flag to end stage two. The third-generation racer finished 22nd, and hit pit road for four tires, fuel, and a small adjustment.
With 100 laps to go in the 400-mile race in the Sunflower State, LaJoie got stage three underway with his No. 32 Ford comfortably in the 19th position. When a caution flew for oil on the track, LaJoie reported that the car was pretty good while in the 25th position. With 32 laps to go, LaJoie took over 22nd, but slipped to 23rd by the checkered flag. The strong run marked the team's 16th top-25 effort of the 2020 season.
